Natural Gas

Natural Gas For Transportation

Natural gas is a domestically produced alternative fuel that is readily available to end users in Wisconsin through existing utility and renewable natural gas infrastructure.

In transportation, natural gas produces significantly fewer emissions than gasoline or diesel. With a considerably lower cost, compared to conventional diesel and gasoline, scores of Wisconsin businesses, including transportation firms, fuel marketers and many others have expressed a serious interest in natural gas as a transportation fuel.

The following links answer common questions, provide information on the State's work in expanding the use of natural gas for transportation, and contacts for state level individuals and agencies working in this area.
