Renewable Energy and The American Recovery & Reinvestment Act
Welcome to the Office of Energy Independence (OEI) site for the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act (ARRA) and its energy sector. We intend for this site to provide a conclusive resource for companies and individuals regarding the status of federal stimulus programs related to energy efficiency and renewable energy. Additionally, our office has been releasing email updates on energy related ARRA guidance. However, we are relying on the US Department of Energy (DOE) to provide the primary guidance on federal program application packets (FOAs) as they are released. *** Please note*** Currently, there are few opportunities for individuals and companies to directly apply for the DOE Federal Funding Opportunity Announcements. Please see the chart below or visit the Office of Recovery and Reinvestment website for further information.
EECBG Outreach Workshop Materials OEI held a series of workshops May 12-21, 2009 geared toward Wisconsin communities interested in applying for the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grants (EECBG). These workshops were designed to assist entitlement communities with completing the federal grant application, and non-entitlement communities with preliminary project planning as the application has not yet been released. OEI and the Dept of Commerce are awaiting approval from the DOE (end of July - mid-August), and will provide information on our websites and via the EI Communities newsletter. Information distributed at these workshops is accessible via the links below.
